Help Mohammed & his Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Whitney, I am from the United States. I am raising money to help my friend Mohammed Al-Saifi and his family. Mohammed is a 28 year old Palestinian displaced in central Gaza. He is currently living out of a tent with two of his brothers, sister in law, 2 nephews ages 4 & 6, his niece age 2 and his parents. His other family members have either been killed or are displaced in other parts of Gaza.
One month ago Mohammed and his family were living displaced in Rafah, trying to save up enough money to cross the boarder into Egypt. When the Rafah invasion happened they had to evacuate to their new displacement location in central Gaza. It cost his family a large amount of what they had saved to move their tents and belongs to what they were told was a safe location. Since they have been in central Gaza they have experienced indiscriminate bombing of these safe areas almost daily.
While leaving their country, everything they know and love would not be their first choice, it is the choice they have decided they have to make. They have lost everything, their homes, loved ones and friends, their sources of income and any plans or dreams they had for the future.
Their only plan for the future is survival. They sadly do not see a chance of survival or a future in Gaza at this time. Until the crossing reopens they are looking for your assistance to help pay for basic necessities in Gaza. Prices are incredibly high and resources are scarce. When they can evacuate it will cost $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child. The $5,000 we are looking to raise at this moment is to go towards saving in part for evacuation and buying what they need until that time comes. The funds will be transferred to my bank account. I will then send all funds to Mohammed.
Mohammed and his family deserve to live in peace, with stability and security. Your donations will help them towards that goal
Message from Mohammed:
"I want to travel with my family outside of Gaza as everything here is destroyed. There is no way to live in Gaza. There is no food, water or shelter. I would love to be able to help my family with my own money, but after the last eight months of this suffering it is all gone. I want to raise money to help my family. I want to raise money to help my family travel and survive this extermination."
Even small amounts add up and go towards helping this wonderful and kind family. If you find yourself unable to donate, sharing the link with your friends, family and community is just as helpful. Thank you so much for your solidarity and compassion for this family and the Palestinian people.
