Bringing Hope: Mohammed’s Journey from Loss to Renewal

Hi, my name is Amanda Marsh. I am a registered nurse of 18 years and mother of two living in the US in Central Virginia. I am a Palestinian activist and met Mohammed during this war. Mohammed has become a dear friend and is seeking help to rebuild his life and to finish school for his engineering degree. Mohammed and his family are in dire need of money to buy a tent as where they are staying in Rafah at a school has been under heavy bombardment. Hello, I’m Mohammed Abu Waseam.

Life in Gaza has been incredibly tough for my family and me. We faced a heartbreaking loss when my sister’s home was destroyed in a bombing, leaving us with nothing. Now, we’re trying to survive in a makeshift tent in the South of Gaza.

Every day is a struggle to afford even the most basic necessities. Food prices are sky-high, forcing us to rely on canned goods and unsafe water for sustenance. The nights are long and cold, and the fear of what tomorrow might bring weighs heavily on our hearts.

But amidst the darkness, there’s a flicker of hope. My brother Mahmoud and I refuse to give up. We’re determined to rebuild our lives and create a better future for our family. But we can’t do it alone.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you, our friends and supporters, for help. Your donation, no matter how small, will make a world of difference to us. It’ll provide us with the resources we need to put food on the table, access clean water, and eventually, find a safe place to call home.
