Stand with Mohsen Mahdawi: Advocate for Peace and Justice

I am Sven Karlen, a friend of Mohsen Mahdawi. I am the fiscal agent for this fundraiser, which seeks support for legal and other expenses on behalf of Mohsen, a Columbia University student of Palestinian origin, residing in Vermont since 2015 with permanent resident status/green card.

Mohsen was detained by immigration officials on April 14, 2025 and put into deportation proceedings in violation of his free speech and due process rights. His legal team is working hard to gain his release, but he could use assistance with funds to cover his legal fees, and expenses while he is in detention, such as commissary and phone charges.
