Stand with Monica Against Breast Cancer

My name is Alejandro, and I’m Monica’s husband. It saddens me to share that Monica has recently been diagnosed with Stage 2A breast cancer.

Monica began experiencing tenderness in her breast area, after returning to workout at the gym. She thought maybe the sports bras were too tight or something. So she didn’t think anything of it. Then right after Christmas she felt a lump on her right breast, and went to get it checked out. She had an ultrasound, and mammogram which confirmed that there was something there. Then a separate appointment for a biopsy, which confirmed that she had cancer. She was diagnosed with Stage 1 cancer. Then, the doctor ordered an MRI. After the MRI, they noticed that some of her lymph nodes in her right armpit seemed enlarged and she needed another biopsy. After the 2nd biopsy of the armpit area, she was upgraded to Stage 2A because the cancer spread to the lymph nodes.

This past Wednesday (2/26/25) she met with a Cancer Team, who recommended many rounds of an invasive form of chemo, breast surgery, and possibly radiation. Monica has a very long road ahead of her. We are not sure which path we are going to take.

Monica is an incredible mom, wife, employee, and friend. She is always giving back to her family and friends and is constantly lending a helping hand to anyone that needs it. It's now our turn to help her. As we all know, medical bills add up very quickly and I'm hoping this fund page can help relieve some of the stress which will allow us to focus more on Monica’s health.

We pray everyday. She has given this health issue to God, and in the meantime, she’s trying to beat her cancer through nutrition. She is definitely a fighter!
