Stand with Mr. Gamie Gamboa and Family

My name is Diana Daltorio. I have worked with Gamie at John F Kennedy High School for almost eight years. This fundraiser has been set up on his behalf.

Gamaliel “Gamie” Gamboa, his wife, and their dog "Archie" (photo included) lost their home in the Eaton Fire. They are in need of donations as they tackle their next steps of starting over. Gamie is a long time Social Studies teacher and the current Department Head at John F. Kennedy High School in Granada Hills where he has taught since 2003. He works tirelessly to serve his students, staff and community. Mr. Gamboa had served years before as the Christian Bible Club advisor. He is also a fierce advocate for his friends and coworkers, often putting their needs before his own. When a department member needs something, he is there to help. When a new colleague comes on board, Gamie is the first to show them the ropes and make himself available for any support needed. He has made JFKHS a more welcoming place with his kind personality and expertise around not only teaching, but the real world of law. He has never ceased to be the rock of our department and the person to which people can go for everything from resources, assistance navigating a problem, or just somebody to talk to. Your contribution will be a great comfort and encouragement for all of them during this challenging journey. Thank you.
