Stand with Nick Lukat in His Hospital and Legal Battle

Hello everyone,

My Uncle, Nick Lukat. is a single father of three boys that is recently dealing with a serious problem and we are asking for any help possible, even sharing the GoFundMe would be wonderful.

We started this about his wife who has been the worst person the last months and year to her children and past husband, but now we have a higher priority to deal with and fight.

Nick Lukat was driving home on the highway and was struck by another car driving on the wrong side of the road, we still do not know any information on why he was driving the wrong side of the road but his driving has caused my uncle to be in serious condition at the hospital and now he is unable to walk at the moment.

We have not had the best treatment and care to the full extent, I have been staying at the hospital for over 35 hours and have stayed over a night and I called off a week of work to stay at the hospital and watch over him since his condition has worsened. He is on many pain meds, he has 12 stitches in one knee from a gash, he had a sore ankle, and headache for over 24 hours, had a 102 temp.

Here's the real kicker, after hours that the hospital had him walking on the legs, he kept telling them his ankle was sore and then finally they did another x-ray and found 3 broken bones and a blood clot and now he can't stand for more then 5 seconds without turning white and weak with high blood pressure.

We have been fighting and I have been working like a madman, taking care of him, within the first two days, I've slept 8 hours only and I called off work for a week to help where it's needed.

Medical fees, ambulance and more is going to be killer alongside with all the court fees and lies the ex-wife have been spreading.

His wife of 10 years, partner for 23 years recently filed for Divorce and is trying to break up the family. He recently found out she was having an affair the last 7 months or even longer with multiple people. She has filed paperwork saying that he has personally harmed himself trying to get her attention and that he would be unfit to be a parent, however for most the marriage he has been a stay at home father taking care of the children. As someone who has spent the last 20+ years of my life with him, he has never harmed himself, has no scars to show he has or also has been a perfect father and Uncle to his children and myself.

She has asked him in the past to get a job to support which he did have a job but was told by her after the fact to leave the job to watch the kids since she was unable to do so. She has had very little to do with their family throughout their lives weather it be with the children or his side of the family. Once the divorce papers were started she also has been twisting words to her family to make him out to be the bad guy through all this when all he has done throughout his life is take care of his children, fix the house or changed anything she wanted to fit her needs and even stopped working for her since she could not handle helping take care of the children on her own.

We are starting a GoFundMe for my Uncle due to the costs of the lawyers fee, paperwork, court fees and trying to save the house for the boys and him. All money will go right to the Nick and the boys. We are dealing with a woman that has been twisting his life upside down the last few months and years and finally we need to stand up to the plate and handle this situation.

His support team is large and loving, he's worked with many others in the OH area and elsewhere making sure everyone is smiling and having a great time.
