Stand with Rena in Her Cancer Battle
Donation protected
I am reaching out today with a very heavy heart but unwavering faith and hope. My friend and her family are in desperate need of help. She is a mother of 3 boys and has a wonderful husband.
Rena’s battle started in 2020 at the age of 35 when she was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. She went through 16 rounds of very aggressive chemotherapy. Drs warned her that most people would not continue after the first dose. However through her strength, staying positive and believe in God she was able to turn her fear, pain and sickness into hope and faith.
After this she had to have her first major surgery which including high peck and a total and complete hysterectomy.
June 2023~ After only 2 months off from chemotherapy but almost three years “ cancer free” she needed to have a biopsy. The results showed her stage 4 colon cancer metastasized into a rare type of cancer growing on her female cuff . Unfortunately this also affects the bowels and bladder.
Next month she will be going to Rosewell to undergo an 10+ hour surgery which will include a total vaginectomy. After the surgery she will need to spend quite some time in the hospital. They need to closely monitor her for infections since this procedure comes with a very high chance of infection.
Her after care will also include both a colostomy bag and a ostomy bag which she will have for the rest of her life, and she will need to learn how to care for that.
she is a Christian women with a strong believe in God’s will. She is quick to help others and doesn’t know how to ask for help herself. She is currently a volunteer at the Westons Mills Fire Dept and any funds received will go towards her medical related expenses, treatments, supplies, and aftercare.
please consider donating and helping this young women and family .
