Help Rennie & Harrison O'Connor after tragic loss

Imagine, in an instant, the life you know would change forever.

On May 7th 2024, Rennie O'Connor woke to find her husband, Bart, suffering from a massive stroke. After arriving to the hospital and receiving emergency brain surgery, Bart would find himself in the ICU, in a coma, and fighting for his life. The brain injury was extensive and doctors told Rennie to bring their 14-year-old son, Harrison, to the hospital to possibly say goodbye to his father.

Miraculously, Bart made it through the night, however, with such an extensive brain injury, doctors believed it would be unlikely he could survive. So rather than planning for their son's first year of high school, Rennie faces the unbearable task of planning her husband's funeral.

Although the O'Connors have extensive family and friends providing much needed support at this time, the future financial burden that lies ahead is vast. Anyone that met Bart, fell in love with his smile, his heart, and his kind nature. Not only was he an amazing father to his son Harrison, but he also has three older children, and a loving grandfather of two. Rennie and Bart had beautiful love story and our hearts break for Rennie, who is losing her partner, soulmate, and the love of her life. Bart was a beloved small business owner and the sole breadwinner of the family. We all want to help Rennie and Harrison, and right now this is one way we can do that—to try to ease the immediate financial pressure that accompanies a tragedy like this.

This Go Fund Me is started by Rennie's close friends as a way to help her through this impossible time.
