Stand with Ricardo in His Battle for Health

Friends and family, my name is Marcello Alcantar, our brother, Ricardo Tubbs, has been there for all of us, whether you know him well or not. He is an extraordinary Jiu-Jitsu instructor, born-leader, wonderful family man, and has served and fought for our freedom in the most trying circumstances, via the US military.

Now he needs our help. Without going into too much detail, in respect of our big brother's wishes, he is suffering from cancer. He believes this disease, along with other injuries and chronic problems, have resulted from the exposure he's had to chemicals and radiation during his numerous tours in Afghanistan.

Given his extensive healthcare knowledge, he is aware of the typical procedures performed, using surgery and radiation, and he knows how negatively they affect the quality of life.

His research has led him to the best doctor and newest procedure, which have provided the most optimal outcomes for men with this same cancer.

His procedure is scheduled for this June 6th, and will cost anywhere from 36K - 46K, out of pocket. Please help us raise the funds to assist Ricardo and his family. All proceeds will be going to Ricardo's medical expenses.

He has so many more years of life, energy, and love to give.

As for myself, I owe so much to him. He has inspired, mentored, and selflessly guided me and my family in so many ways. He has been such an amazing uncle to my kids. He was an instrumental part of my Jiu-Jitsu Journey and I would not be a blackbelt if it weren't for him. He made me believe I could build a successful academy and he was a part of it every step of the way. Anyone who has encountered him knows his infectious loving, humorous, and positive energy. Prayers and love are important right now, but what he really needs is this procedure that is unfortunately not covered by insurance. Thank you to all who contribute and thank you to all who share.
