It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of the untimely passing of Rohit, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend.
On July 4, 2024, when everyone was excited to celebrate Independence Day, the Godhani family was struck with a life-altering tragedy. Rohit Godhani, a 41-year-old beloved husband and father of two young children, was taken away by sudden swirling water currents along the banks of the Rogue River in Oregon. Unexpected currents pulled Rohit into the river. His family, including his children, were devastated as they watched Rohit being taken away. Despite several 911 calls and continued searching by the rescue team, his lifeless body was found sometime later.
Rohit was an amazing husband, a great friend, a talented engineer, and above all, a wonderful human being. He worked as a Software Engineer at a medical device company in the Bay Area, California. His dedication to his family and his work was truly inspiring.
He leaves behind his wife, Ranjita, their two young children, his parents, siblings, and a close-knit community of friends and colleagues. The suddenness of this tragedy has left us all in shock and deep sorrow.
While we cannot mend the hearts broken by this loss, we can come together to support Rohit's family through this incredibly difficult time. We are organizing this fundraiser to help alleviate the financial burden that accompanies such a tragic event.
