My name is Tammy Meyer. I have teamed up with Rodney Aker and we are hoping to be able to raise enough money on this platform to help Scott and Hope Gaunt with finances due to Scott's fierce fight with stage 4 lung cancer.

I met with Scott and Hope last week and I can tell this is definitely taking a toll on them both. Scott lost his job not long after his diagnosis and as we know, healthcare costs are so expensive and have been devastating for the Gaunts. The goal is for Scott to be able to relax and concentrate on his treatments without the constant worry on the financial end of things and for Hope to be able to be with her husband without thinking of how she is going to pay the bills. Fighting cancer should not have to take everything from you but yet it tries to.

Scott's cancer has spread to many other parts of his body and he is on a trial treatment as we speak. With everything being about 30-40% more expensive than it used to be, it makes it very hard for anyone to keep their heads above water, especially if you are going through something as terrible as this.

Almost all of us have been affected by cancer in some way. I know my family has and it's the most horrifying thing I can imagine and at almost 50 years old, Scott has been a warrior but he and Hope need our help. Please, consider donating! There is no amount too small or too big. It will all be so appreciated by Scott and his family. If you are like me, I'm so tired of seeing my friends and family not only suffer from this disease, but seeing the worry on their faces over things that they shouldn't have to worry about.
