Stand with Sean

My name is Mike Marino, I am the General Manager of Bertuccis in Springfield, PA. I am making this on behalf of one of my employees, Sean Scandle.

Sean Scandle grew up a Ridley Park, Pennsylvania, native where he attended Ridley High School. At 24 years old, Sean attends Temple University in Philadelphia for business, with future plans to own his own business. For the past 5 years Sean has been a dedicated, hard working and loyal employee to our Bertuccis in Springfield.

He was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a relatively aggressive form of cancer that affects the lymph nodes and in Sean’s case has spread to his lungs. Despite being constantly sick and recently receiving this news, Sean remains positive and confident about overcoming this diagnosis.

Sean is the gold standard for what makes a great employee Sean is hard working, working hours past his scheduled clock out time and making sure his team is ready to conquer the day. Along with his positive attitude and willingness to help at any time, all of these things make him a very valued employee to our restaurant. Sean is a devoted brother, son and a stand up friend to many people.

With this being said, Sean will have to take time off from work in order to prioritize his health. He will be battling this diagnosis as he tries to maintain his college career as a student of business. The last thing Sean and his family should be worrying about is the financial burden that this diagnosis brings. We are looking to raise as much as we can for our friend Sean, to relieve any stress of costs for treatment. Sean’s treatment begins the 3rd week of November, and will be taking time off. With the cost of treatment and holidays approaching, we ask you to ban together and aid him through such hard times. Again, I ask for any amount to help my friend fight this battle, because we never fight alone. Thank you in advance and let's Stand With Sean!!!
