Help Marissa Rowe Carry the Load

Everyone talks about helping our military personnel, but we rarely get the chance to help someone directly. Now is the time to put our money where one of our brave heroes can use it.

My name is Gina Page. I am raising money for my friend, Marissa Rowe. Marissa is currently deployed overseas and on military leave without pay from her full-time civilian job for the next year. The thought of Marissa defending our country while worrying about how she's going to pay her expenses stateside is unfathomable.

Marissa is an E-5 sergeant in the Army Reserve. Recently, she was deployed for a second time in a year to an undisclosed location. Sergeant Rowe loves this country and vowed to help protect us regardless of the cost. This time the cost involves more than most. Marissa has been asked to risk her life and leave her livelihood behind. She will not receive any pay from her employer while she serves this deployment for the next 9 to 12 months.

As a soldier, Marissa's first priority is to serve and protect this country, but who is protecting the life she has made for herself here? A mortgage payment on her new home and the care of her beloved pup are only a couple of the things Sergeant Rowe has had to abandon to fulfill her duty.

Here is where you can help. Marissa's only income during her deployment for the next 9-12 months is the meager military pay she earns. Bills are piling up.
