Stand with Social Grounds: Repair Fund

Hi, I’m Patti Peeples, a resident of Springfield in Jacksonville, Florida. One of our treasured businesses on Main Street has had two episodes of significant vandalism to their coffee shop, Social Grounds. Twice in the past month, vagrants have broken large front windows and the glass-paned door, gaining entrance into their shop. The cost is in the thousands of dollars. They also need higher quality cameras so these people can be caught in the act. Social Grounds is a treasured place. Local and veteran-owned by Mandi and Jason Kelloway, the owners are fantastic community members and merchants, offering extraordinary coffee that they roast themselves. They provide a welcome, beautiful space in our beloved neighborhood. Let’s help them by shouldering just some of the costs of this needless vandalism so they can continue to operate their business. Let’s show our local business owners that we stand with them, in good times and bad. Please donate whatever you can afford and stop in and tell them how much you appreciate them and, if you are able, buy some of their offerings.
