Stand with the Akila Family: Urgent Help for Gaza’s Children

Hello! My name is Ameer Akila, and I am writing this with a heavy heart, begging for your help so my family and I can survive in North Gaza. Since October 7, our lives have been torn apart by constant bombings. We’ve had to flee our home multiple times, each time leaving behind what little we had left. Our children are scared and confused, and it’s breaking our hearts to see them like this.

We are trapped in North Gaza, where almost no aid has reached us for the past 10 months. The children haven’t been to school in nearly a year, and they are suffering from malnutrition. They cry from hunger and terror every day. We’ve been displaced so many times that they no longer know what safety feels like. There is no clean water, no food, and no security.. nothing to live for.

Even the animals are suffering. Our beloved dog, Huskki, is struggling just like us. He’s weak from hunger and fear, and we don’t know how much longer he can hold on. It breaks our hearts to see him suffer too.

Our health is declining rapidly. We are all weakened by hunger and stress, and without medical aid, even minor illnesses are becoming dangerous. There are no doctors, no medicine, and nowhere to turn for help. We’ve lost our home, our jobs, and our hope. We are desperately trying to survive.

Your help, no matter how small, could mean the difference between life and death for us. It could help us buy food, medicine, and the basics we need to stay alive another day in this nightmare.
