Palisades Fire Domestic Workers Fund
Donation protected
Our goal is to raise funds to provide DIRECT AID to domestic workers who have lost employment due to the Palisades Fire. While significant fundraisers and insurance pay-outs have already been pledged to those who have lost their homes, the hardworking individuals who work in those homes do not have access to the same assistance. Or as our friends at NDWA puts it, “While domestic and care workers are central to our communities, during times of crisis they are often the first to lose income and some of the last to receive aid.”
With approximately 5,000 structures destroyed in the fire already and the entire neighborhood made uninhabitable, we estimate we will be able to identify and verify hundreds of housekeepers and nannies who will be without work for the foreseeable future.
For over 40 years, The Help Company has been connecting domestic employees with families in Los Angeles. Through our well-established network, we are uniquely positioned to rally our community to support their essential domestic workers during this challenging time. These dedicated workers consistently go above and beyond for the families they support. Please consider contributing to ensure our cherished care-takers are cared for as well.
