Stand with the Mozo Family in Their Loss
Spende geschützt
I have lived next door to the wonderful multi-generational Mozo family since 2007. Their 19 year old son/brother/ grandson, Miguel Mozo Hernandez, was stabbed in the family's driveway on May 11th, and died on the way to the hospital. Miguel, known as Angel to his friends, grew up playing with my son and the other neighborhood kids. He attended Ocean Knoll and recently graduated from LCC. He was such a nice little boy and had grown up to be a wonderful young man. Miguel was attending Mira Costa college with the goal of becoming a sheriff, while working full time on the night shift at Home Depot.
I have teamed up with Miguel's friend, Conor, to raise funds for the family. The funds will be given to Miguel's parents, Melecio and Evelina, to pay for funeral and burial expenses. I spoke with Miguel's grandmother 2 days after Miguel died to ask what the family needed, and she shared they did know how they would pay for the funeral. I immediately set up the Go Fund Me.
Miguel's family is devastated by this tragedy and in need of funds for Miguel’s funeral and burial, and likely to replace lost wages as they process all of this and mourn and support the other children in the family during this extremely difficult time.
The family is so grateful for everyone's support and for the funds that continue to come in. Please share this fundraiser to continue to raise funds for the Mozo Family.
Let's all work together to ease their financial burden.
