Stand with the Rodriguez Family in Crisis

Bendiciones, hoy venimos a ustedes con el corazón en la mano, pidiéndoles ayuda para la familia Rodríguez, una familia trabajadora y querida por su comunidad, que está pasando por un momento muy difícil.

El domingo 9 de marzo, después de servir fielmente en la iglesia, Amalia (madre), Alexis (padre), José (hijo) y Victoria (hija) fueron detenidos por ICE y actualmente se encuentran en un centro de detención en Florida. Su hijo mayor, Guillermo, fue arrestado el 11 de febrero y ha estado bajo custodia durante más de un mes en espera de su audiencia.

La familia Rodríguez es un ejemplo brillante de bondad, fe y servicio. No tienen antecedentes penales ni vínculos con ninguna organización criminal. Han dedicado sus vidas a ayudar a los demás, ofreciendo clases de música (muchas veces de forma gratuita) a niños en el área triestatal y sirviendo incansablemente en su comunidad de fe en Queens. Vinieron a los Estados Unidos en busca de una vida mejor y han trabajado arduamente para salir adelante y apoyar a quienes los rodean.

Ahora enfrentan una batalla legal costosa, con gastos que podrían superar los $30,000 en honorarios legales y fianzas. Sin apoyo financiero, podrían perder la oportunidad de presentar su caso ante un juez.

On Sunday, March 9th, after faithfully serving at church, Amalia (mom), Alexis (dad), Jose (son), and Victoria (daughter) were detained by ICE and are now being held in a Florida detention center. Their eldest son, Guillermo, was first taken into custody on February 11th and has been awaiting his hearing for over a month.

The Rodriguez family is a shining example of kindness, faith, and service. They have no criminal record, no ties to any criminal organization, and have dedicated their lives to giving back—offering music lessons (often for free) to children in the Tri-State area and serving tirelessly in their church community in Queens. They came to the United States in search of a better life, and they have only ever worked to uplift those around them.

They are facing an overwhelming legal battle that could cost upwards of $30,000 in legal fees and bail. Without financial support, they may not have the opportunity to present their case before a judge.

Their faith and kindness have touched so many lives, and now, in their time of greatest need, we have the chance to stand with them. No family should have to endure this alone. Every donation, no matter the size, brings them one step closer to reuniting and fighting for their future. For full transparency, I am not a direct family member of the Rodriguez family, but we are close friends who attend the same church as brothers and sisters in Christ. I was given the consent of Amalias niece Alejandra Castillo to start this GoFundMe. The money is being withdrawn and given to Karen Estrada (family friend) She is being trusted and managing the money making sure that the lawyer is getting paid and all other legal fees. Any remaining funds will go directly to the Rodriguez family upon their release.
