Stand with Todd Burnham Against Cancer

Todd’s sisters-in-law are organizing this fundraiser. We are Kimberly Newman, Jackie Peabody, Colleen Newman, Deb Harrigan and Ellen Newman.

To say Todd and Kelly Burnham have been blindsided by medical issues this past year is an understatement. Todd’s recent diagnosis of Squamous Cell Carcinoma, a fast-growing tumor at the base of his tongue that has spread to several surrounding lymph nodes, has led us to ask for your help. We appreciate you taking a moment to hear Todd and Kelly’s story and consider donating.

In July 2022, Kelly, at 53, suffered a stroke, and a congenital hole in her heart was discovered. Two weeks later, Todd underwent spinal surgery to relieve spinal stenosis. September brought the diagnosis of Lyme disease and Lupus for Kelly, as well as surgery to repair her heart.

In April 2023, Todd developed pneumonia, and in May he was diagnosed with Anaplasmosis, as a result of a tick bite. Hospital stays increased, and their costs continued to pile up.

This July, a troublesome lump in his throat was biopsied, and Todd was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma. His treatment will begin on August 22nd and will take 6-7 weeks to complete. He will have chemo- and radiation therapy, concurrently. This will be an aggressive plan as this is a fast-growing cancer.

Kelly has only been able to return to work with limited part-time hours, and Todd has been instructed to stop working with his cancer diagnosis. Even with their health insurance, medical bills since last year continue to mount.

Donations will be used to help Todd and Kelly pay their day-to-day bills, their mortgage, and their ever-increasing medical debt. All donations will go directly into the Burnhams' bank account.

Todd has always provided for his family through hard work and determination, and he has availed himself to help others in need. At this time, we hope to bring some relief his way.
