Stand with Troy in His Health Battle

Hi folks. My name is Troy. I just recently went to the dentist for what I thought was a routine visit. Turns out, I need a tooth extraction and an implant as I have so many missing teeth that chewing will be a difficult task and could damage the few remaining teeth. The dentist said the approximate price would be about $5000.

Unfortunately, I had a stroke about a year ago, not to mention neuropathy that leaves me walking (limping) like and old man, an enlarged prostate, a CPAP that doctors say needs to be switched to a BiPap, and a variety of other health issues. All of this has left me unable to work at the moment. I cannot work, drive or contribute to my family. My poor wife is trying to make things work on her salary, but without my salary, and the expense of raising a beautiful daughter, we just can't swing it.

When I was well, I always tried to be charitable. Many of you probably remember me collecting sleeping bags and blankets, to go and personally deliver to the homeless citizens in Paterson. My wife and I used to do walks and runs, for many different charities. I used to volunteer to distribute food at a local homeless shelter, and as a teacher I volunteered to tutor kids in transitional housing, and allowed my students to eat lunch with me in my classroom if they felt awkward in the atmosphere of the cafeteria. Sometimes I'd have thirty kids in there, some of whom I never had for a class. Sadly, Disability is dragging their feet and after a year I still have received no assistance to aide my family, while they continue to "process" my claim. Till they make that decision, we are on our own, and I'm hoping karma will somehow catch up with my previous endeavors.
