Stand with Tyeastia: Restore Her Life and Career
Donation protected
It is our collective responsiblity to stand behind Black women.
This is a call for reparations and deeply needed community care.
Tyeastia Green has dedicated her life to racial justice work. She was attacked by the city of Burlington, who went on a mobbing and defamation spree when she consistently spoke truth to power.
This has been deeply traumatic. Her accomplishments have been erased, and her career and reputation have been destroyed despite documented proof of her innocence.
Your support will:
- Provide Tyeastia with essential funds while she continues to search for employment (she is now over 500 days unemployed despite submitting hundreds of applications).
- Keep Tyeastia and her family in their home, which they have been forced to put on the market.
- Repair harm at a community level, since the City of Burlington and the Mayor still are not owning the damage that continues to impact Tyeastia every single day.
Our community has launched an open letter campaign where you can read more about Tyeastia, her story, and the truth behind what has been done.
This is not charity; this is about collective accountability and care.
Tyeastia is a force and incredible leader despite all odds, pressure, and violence against her. She remains unwaveringly commited even through her suffering. Tyeastia continues to be a visionary for racial equity, belonging, and justice.
She is a constant source of grounded wisdom and compassion for those around her. Now more than ever, our community needs leaders like Tyeastia.
We need Tyeastia! She deserves justice, too.
