Stand by Macy

On Tuesday, my sister, Macy Brown, was diagnosed with cancer after the removal of what was supposed to be a benign mass in her spine. We are waiting on pathology to determine the type of cancer she has, which can take a couple of days. As of now, we know that the treatments will be determined based on the type of cancer and those treatments (most likely chemo) will be done in Dallas. Macy and her family live in Longview, which is 2 hours away. 

The Brown family is a one income family, as Macy is a stay at home Mom and takes care of her 7 month son and almost 3 year old daughter. Macy will have a rough road ahead of her, traveling for treatments while staying strong for her young family. Macy’s husband Cameron, as well as her entire family will be by her side as she battles and fights for herself and her family. 

Many of you have generously reached out asking how you can help Macy. While we don’t know what the future holds for medical expenses, we do know traveling, meals, and childcare expenses will be a struggle for them.
