Standing by Asif after a Terrible Accident

With a heavy heart, I take up this pen to write on behalf of my dearest friend, Asif Hossain(khoka). As you read this, he lies at the Apollo Hospital in Dhaka, fighting the aftermath of a horrific bike accident. It was a day like any other, but fate took a cruel turn when a speeding car, approaching from the opposite direction, collided with him. Though he managed to escape the worst, his leg suffered severe injuries, compelling an arduous 8-hour surgery.

In this anxious period, the wait for news on khoka's condition feels endless. My mind and heart plead you to support his family, who are grappling with the financial burden thrust upon them by this unforeseen catastrophe. Those of us who have shared cherished moments and school days with Asif, let us unite to offer our collective strength and love, nurturing his spirit back to life.

Khoka loves riding a bike and going to beautiful places. Before he had the bike we would go through the hurdle of taking many modes of public transport to go explore remote parts of Dhaka. He would tell me life would be easier with a bike and I would tell him off because I fear bikes. He is the greatest friend one could ask for. The photo you see is taken during one of these adventures. I hope he gets back to his feet in no time and goes places again. Khoka, we eagerly await your triumphant return to the open road, to the beautiful places you hold dear, and to the cherished memories we shall create anew.
