HELP Standing Rock Children #NoDAPL

Donation protected
Hello Friends and Family,

This Thanksgiving I am the most thankful for the clean water I have access to every day.  Please start this giving session with a donation to help the children of our earths PROTECTORS.

We are very excited to bring Art, Dance and Movement Therapy to the children living in Standing Rock this Thanksgiving. Thank you for the abundance of local donations of art supplies and children’s winter clothing. We will be shipping all physical donations this week to arrive before Thanksgiving. However, as we get closer the Standing Rock community has expressed what they need most is zero degree camping gear to prepare for the extreme winter in North Dakota.

Your donations will directly buy as many winter tents, sleeping bags, tarps, blankets, wood, etc. that we can when we arrive in North Dakota. Any donation to this gofundme campaign is greatly appreciated!!

The week of Thanksgiving Lauryn Hunter, Kelly Breaux and Lorette Hunter will travel to North Dakota, and set up a Mental Health camp near the Medic Tent.  Our Goal is to set up a camp with one 10 person tent filled with pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, stuffed animals, art and music supplies. Children and families will have several art therapy activities to create along with making musical instruments. The amazing Kelly Breaux will be doing dance and movement therapy with her donated handmade hula hoops.

A friend of mine working with the Standing Rock #NODAPL community has asked for my help. My name is Lauryn Hunter and I am a registered Art Therapist and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I currently work with Cedars Sinai Medical Hospital and facilitate art therapy groups in two elementary schools in Los Angeles. Healing children through art is my life's passion. I specialize in child development and using ART to heal children with trauma, behavioral needs, social skills and self-esteem. Kelly Breaux is the CEO and founder of "Hoop it Up Kids". She has worked with millions of children after discovering the magical fitness effects of the hoop. She has vowed to get as many human beings hooping for happiness and peace around the globe. Her mission is to bring together people of all ages, all levels of fitness, and all walks of life, to hoop, to dance, to dream as one!

The largest gathering of indigenous nations in modern American history has set up camp on land within a half-mile of the Standing Rock Sioux reservation and cross beneath the Missouri River. They have come together to protest construction of the 1,172-mile Dakota Access oil pipeline. This pipeline will adversely impact drinking water and disturb sacred tribal sites. In the last several months several thousand Native Americans have arrived at Standing Rock, to support the 8,250 residents living on the land. In spite of the impending cold, the opposition has grown and these supporters continue to come and bring their entire families living in shelters, tents and teepees.

Our greatest concerns are the CHILDREN in these camps.  People within the camps have reported their children are starting to show signs of trauma from the conflict and disruption of their daily lives.

I believe in all my heart WATER IS LIFE and HOW I can HELP is ASK my community to help me bring my services to these Indignious people who are protecting the earth and lives of future generation.

Much Gratitude and Lots of LOVE and LIGHT!!!
