Standing Strong: Help Zach Rebuild After Losing His Leg
Donation protected
Hey everyone, my name is Zachery Haynie, and I want to share my story with you. Life has thrown me some serious challenges over the past few years, but through it all, my faith in Jesus Christ has kept me standing—even when I lost the ability to stand on my own.
Not long ago, I faced one of the hardest battles of my life. I was diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis, a severe and life-threatening condition that left me in and out of hospitals, fighting just to survive. The pain was unbearable. The doctors weren’t sure if I would make it. There were moments I felt like giving up—but God wasn’t done with me yet.
Through prayer, faith, and the support of my loved ones, I slowly recovered. It took months, but I finally made it through. I was healing, getting stronger, and ready to step into a new chapter of life. But just when I thought the worst was behind me, another storm came—one that would change my life forever.
A freak accident, along with complications from a blood disorder, resulted in the unthinkable: I lost my right leg. The news hit me hard. Everything I once took for granted—walking, moving freely, being independent—suddenly felt like it had been stripped away.
At first, I didn’t know how to process it. I asked God, “Why?” But I kept coming back to my favorite verse, 2 Timothy 1:7—
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
I realized that fear wasn’t going to control me. I could either sit in sorrow or trust that God still had a plan for my life. And I choose faith. I choose to believe that this is not the end of my story—it’s the beginning of a testimony.
The road to recovery is long and expensive. The cost of a high-quality prosthetic, medical bills, physical therapy, and daily living adjustments is overwhelming. I’m working hard to rebuild my life, but I can’t do it alone. That’s why I’m reaching out for support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing my story.
If you feel led to give, know that every dollar will help me take the next step—literally. It will help me get the right prosthetic, cover the medical expenses insurance won’t, and fund the therapy I need to regain mobility and independence.
But even if you can’t give financially, I ask for your prayers, your encouragement, and your help in sharing this with others.
I believe in miracles because I’ve lived through them. I’ve seen God’s hand on my life before, and I know He is still moving. With faith, hard work, and the love of those around me, I will walk again.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for your prayers, your kindness, and your generosity. I am beyond grateful.
God bless,
Zachery Haynie
