Standing Together: Raising Support for Myanmar Earthquake
Donation protected
The 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar last week has left widespread devastation toppling homes and upending countless lives. In this moment of crisis, Pandaw is coming together to support this resilient nation as for many of our Burmese team members, this isn’t just a disaster on the news - it’s their hometowns and families.
For 30 years, Myanmar has been fundamental to our story. It was here in the mid 1990's that we launched our first river expeditions, establishing the model of authentic, community-connected cruising that defines us today. Generations of skilled Burmese crew have shaped the Pandaw experience, while local farmers, artisans and suppliers have become valued partners. These relationships, built over decades of shared journeys along the Irrawaddy and Chindwin rivers, now inspire our commitment to stand with Myanmar during this challenging time.
If Myanmar's culture has ever touched your heart, we welcome your support in this effort. We're working directly through established local partners to ensure aid reaches where it's needed most, focusing on:
- Provide emergency shelter and supplies
- Rebuild homes and infrastructure
- Support livelihood recovery
