Standing with Ahmed's Family in Gaza

Note: As it is not possible to open a GoFundMe account in all countries, I, Isabelle, have opened this campaign with my German account for Ahmed's family on behalf of Bisan, my good friend from Gaza who now lives in Qatar where I met her four years ago at the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies during my exchange semester. She wants to use the campaign to help her friends who are going through a difficult time. All the money (after deducting the GoFundMe fees of approx. 2000 Euro for 40000 Euro) will go to the family after the end of the war to rebuild their apartment and Ahmed's office.

Dear Compassionate Hearts,

Today, we come together to uplift Ahmed Lulu, a dedicated software engineer, and his beloved family as they navigate through challenging times. Ahmed, 31, his cherished wife Jehan Helles, 28, and their two vibrant children, Taher, 5.5, and Kenan, 2.5, have encountered unforeseen trials.

Ahmed, the pillar of his family, strives to foster joy and stability. He not only serves as a father figure to Taher and Kenan but also as their trusted confidant, nurturing a bond built on love and mutual respect. Together with Jehan, they've created a nurturing haven for Taher and Kenan to flourish.

Ahmed is a computer engineer graduate from Al-Azhar University in Gaza and works now as a PHP developer specializing in the Laravel framework, with over 5 years of experience crafting various websites and small enterprise solutions. He is dedicated to continuous learning and embracing new technologies, and proud to have received the 1st award from OXFAM competition for web development (PHP advance).

Jehan, Ahmed’s resilient partner, tirelessly cares for their children, enveloping them in a world of warmth and happiness. Despite facing her own hardships, including the trauma of witnessing her family’s home bombed during the war, her spirit remains unbroken as she continues to shower her family with boundless love and tenderness.

Taher, a curious soul, finds joy in every aspect of life. Whether helping his mother with chores, engaging in playful activities with his aunts, or cooking with his grandmother, Taher’s zest for life knows no bounds. He not only shares a deep bond with Kenan but also serves as a source of inspiration and wonder.

Despite facing hardships, including Ahmed's job loss, they confront the heartbreak of their apartment's destruction and the closure of Ahmed's cherished business, 'Location,' a vital community hub, where engineers, students and programmers were offered a place to work and learn.
