Standing with Sylvia

Yesterday, our beloved Pastor Fernando Pinto was taken Home during the return flight from a work trip in Dubai with his wife P. Sylvia. To say that the family is in shock is an understatement, however, our trust is in the Faithful Father who was not surprised at all by these events. Many of you have reached out asking to donate, so we are providing this platform. While Zelle (407.443.5819) is preferred, all gifts in honor of Fernando are deeply appreciated and will help Sylvia and the family take care of funeral arrangements and expenses in the upcoming months.

Ontem, o nosso amado Pastor Fernando Pinto faleceu durante a volta de uma viajem de negócios, voltando de Dubai, com a sua esposa P. Sylvia. Foi um choque profundo, porem nos confiamos no nosso Pai Eterno que não se surpreendeu com nada. Muitos nos contataram perguntando como podem ajudar e nos decidimos usar esta plataforma para receber doações para ajudar a familia trazer o seu corpo do Canada, e com outros gastos nos próximos meses. Mesmo que Zelle seja preferido, todas as contribuições em honra do Fernando para apoiar a Sylvia e a sua familia durante esta fase são profundamente apreciados. 

 

Fernando Henrique Camargo Pinto, beloved husband of 41 years, father, grandfather, uncle, pastor, and friend was born in São Paulo on February 12, 1959. He was the son of Perciria and Francisco Pinto. He married the love of his life and best friend on August 2, 1980 and one year later he became a “daddy” when Rebeca was born. In 1986 God used Fernando to bring the entire family to the United States. We have all been blessed by that choice.

Fernando Henrique Camargo Pinto, amado esposo de 41 anos, pai, avo, tio, pastor, e amigo, nasceu em São Paulo no dia 12 de fevereiro de 1959. Ele era filho de Perciria e Francisco Pinto. Ele se casou com o amor da sua vida e melhor amiga no sia 2 de agosto de 1980 e um ano depois veio a ser o papai da Rebeca, Em 1986, Deus usou o Fernando para trazer a familia inteira aos Estados Unidos, e isso foi uma benção para todos nos. 

 

In 1993, while living in Connecticut, Joshua was born. Fernando, also known to his close friends as “Nando,” started interpreting sermons that D.J. and Mark Evans preached at New Life Ministries into Portuguese, and eventually received the call to serve in Orlando, Florida and start Harvest Ministries. The church started on August 26, 2001, and has served the Portuguese-speaking community in Central Florida for two decades. Fernando also started Pinto Interpreters and was a well-loved presence in the Courthouses across Central Florida, where he interpreted Portuguese to those in need. In 2018, God called Rebeca Home after a painful battle with cancer, and he had not been the same since. Those of us who know his creative, poetic, and deeply loving side recognized that the light had gone out of his eyes. These have been tough years, and he gave his best, with God’s help. Today, they are united again: never to be separated.

Em 1993, quando morava em Connecticut, o Joshua nasceu. O Fernando, carinhosamente por seus mais íntimos como "Nando," começou a interpretar os sermões de DJ e Mark Evans ao português na New Life Ministries, e eventualmente obedeceu o chamado de servir em Orlando, na Florida, abrindo o Ministério Seara. A igreja foi aberta no dia 26 de agosto de 2001 e tem servido a comunidade Brasileira na zona central da Florida. 

 

Fernando’s bride Sylvia, his son Joshua and grandchildren D.J. and Joy along with Vo Joisse, Janet, Rick, Kelly, Kasen, Daniel, Kat, Carlos, Denise, Emily, and David will miss his love, presence, sense of humor, “Lindão /Lindona” greetings, sincere hugs, perspicacity, and so much more. The God who loves us and gave Himself for us is faithful to continually comfort, just like He always has.

A amada do Fernando, Sylvia, seu filho Joshua, netos DJ e Joy, e também a Vo Joisse, Janet, Rick, Kelly, Kasen, Daniel, Kat, Carlos, Denise, Emily, e o David vao a sentir falta da sua presenca, senso de humor, abraços sinceros,  e tanto mais. O Deus que nos ama e nos deu de Si mesmo para nos salvar é fiel  para continuar a darnos paz e graça. 

 

To all of Fernando’s friends, many who have been closer than brothers, co-workers, relatives, brothers and sisters in Christ all across the world - Thank you! Your love has been an incredible source of comfort, and our desire is that God, the Faithful Friend, will bless you in ways that only He can.

Para todos os amigos de Fernando, muitos que vieram a ser mais amados que irmãos, colegas de trabalho, irmãos e irmãs na fé em Cristo através do mundo - Muito obrigada! O seu amor é uma fonte constante de paz, e o nosso desejo é que Deus, o amigo fiel, abençoe a cada um de maneira que só ele pode abençoar. 

O culto de Celebração da Vida do P. Fernando vai ser na Seara neste Sexta-feira, 26 de novembro as 19:00 hrs no Ministério Seara 7001 Grand National Dr. em Orlando. Contamos com a sua presença.
