On November 15th 2016, a week after the Presidential elections, a student by the name of Caleb O'Neil began recording his Human Sexuality teacher Olga Perez Stable Cox while she went on an anti-Trump rant during class. During the rant Professor Cox called Donald Trump a "white supremacist," Mike Pence "the most anti-gay human being in the country," and said "the election of Donald Trump was an act of terrorism." Professor Cox made several other remarks during the class that were targeted against conservatives that were highly unprofessional and had no place in that class room given the subject matter being discussed.
Now on February 9th 2017 Orange Coast College ruled that they would be suspending Caleb for one full semester and one summer semester. Caleb will also have to write a 3 page essay on everything that happened with a separate apology letter for the professor, and if he returns to campus he will be put on Disciplinary Probation for a semester.
These excessive punishments against Caleb come as the campus fails to have addressed Professor Cox's comments. Professor Cox continues to teach classes at OCC this semester to over 400 a drop from over 600 last semester with no punishment being handed down.
Caleb has since retained Freedom X lawyer, Bill Becker, as his legal counsel and needs your help as we seek to pay for his legal expenses. Will you join us in standing with Caleb and fighting the campus administration in their unfair, biased, actions?
