Stand with Thomas Amantia

On SuperBowl Sunday February 2014 a close friend of ours Thomas Amantia collapsed in his basement. His 8 year old daughter Alex discovered her Dad - with her older sister Ashley they called an ambulence.  So began a long health challenge for Tom who has been fighting to live everyday, as most of us go about our usual lives.

It took weeks to diagnose but the doctors found Stage 4 Glioblastoma, one of the most serious forms of brain cancer.  You may have heard his story on the radio where his wife Diane told about his brave struggle, and miracle to live thus far.  Although his immediate and extended family have been very involved in every step of his treatment, he is now at a stage where he needs 24 hour care and has been admitted into Hospice.

World class Doctors have spearheaded his advanced treatment over the past 3 years, however now the disease and treatment have taken it's toll on Tom's body and life. Once a very involved husband and father of two young daughters who was active as a Technology Sales Executive, Math Tutor, Hospitality worker and Lumberjack now has trouble keeping his eyes open and is bed.

We all believe in God's soverignty - of course.  Toms wife Diane, their daughters, family and friends are prayerful, supportive and have faith in God, but you can imagine the enormous emotional and financial burden on this family of four, and we feel lead to help them anyway we can at this time of need.

This prayer request and fundraising effort has 4 main benefits:
- To show Tom, Diane and family that our hearts and prayers are with them, and that they don't have to walk through this challenging journey alone.
- To assist with the large expenses that have been needed to support Tom's care.
- To the family offset Tom's lost income while adjusting to the above.
-To pray for God's will for Tom, strength, and peace for all of the family that surpasses all understanding.

We appreciate anything you can do, every little bit will help this family in need.  As you can imagine your prayers and well wishes are also very important. If you would like to leave a note of encouragement, we will make sure the family sees any comments left in the comments section.

Thank you so much for your support and prayers.  We are grateful.  Remember every little bit helps.

With Gods love and faith in Him,

Jeff and Robbie Raugh
