Rebuild St Anne's Church - CHARITABLE FUNDRAISER
Rebuild St. Anne’s Anglican Church
A beloved Toronto landmark, St. Anne’s Anglican Church, was gutted by a devastating fire on Sunday, June 9, 2024. An architectural treasure, it housed a series of priceless murals by Group of Seven artists. The church serves a diverse congregation in Toronto and was also home to a much-loved choir, which lost its instruments and music.
Father Don Beyers is exploring the possibility of hosting services on an interim basis in the parish hall, which was not damaged in the fire and Music Director Mervin Fick will have the choir sing at those services.
Mayor Olivia Chow, on behalf of the City of Toronto, stated our collective determination to rebuild.
My name is Isabella Cairess Favaro, and I am a member of the St. Anne’s Anglican Church choir, one of countless people heartbroken at the loss.
All monies donated to this appeal will go directly to St. Anne’s, a charitable organization and you will receive a tax receipt. Along with rebuilding, funds will go to help Father Don arrange interim facilities for services and to support the choir in replacing instruments and music lost in the fire.
I hope that as a community we can come together to raise funds to begin the process to rebuild St. Anne’s.
Thank you,
Isabella
