STAPLER Budget (Short Film)

Hi All,

My name is Connor Raithby, I'm a 21 year old, award winning filmmaker from Taunton, Somerset. Im currently in Pre-Production on my next Short Film called "STAPLER". A Comedy about a guy called John, who finds out he can talk to his stapler. A huge reveal at the end explaining how he can communicate with his Stapler. The runtime is roughly 17 minutes, and I am currently putting my cast and crew together.

I have some fantastic local talent including producers and composers who are already working with me on this short, and I am very excited to bering more on board soon. I am looking at having a premiere at the ODEON at Taunton Cinema Early 2024, with production happening in January 2024.

The script has had amazing positive feedback, and I am ecstatic to get started. The money I am trying to raise for this budget will help me in various ways the it comes to the different stages of production. I have just finished my studies in film, and have managed to work on both a short film, about to be considered for the BAFTAs and Oscars which is exciting. We have two filming locations, one that will need to be constructed with an Art Department. The money will help with construction, fuel for cast and crew, catering for the shooting days, distribution for the premiere and marketing the release on different platforms. It will also help with new lens's for the camera, hiring of a doctors room and finally overall, Production and Props including Makeup and Wardrobe.

Your donation to the Budget will help me in creating another short film that shows future studios, producers and employers what I am capable of. What I love creating and how I manage a production. This film will also be doing the festival circuit runs so this could potentially get some recognition too.
