The Star-C Eviction Relief Fund
Tax deductible
Help us keep children and families in their homes!
Formed in 2014, Star-C is a 501(c)3 nonprofit whose goal is to reduce transiency in affordable and workforce housing communities in Metro Atlanta. We partner with conscientious landlords, who have agreed to keep their rents affordable, so that tenants aren’t forced to move due to aggressive rent increases. This helps stabilize families in the community and keeps children in their same school, allowing them to perform better in school. With this, Star-C also offers free onsite afterschool programs, free summer camps, wellness and food security initiatives, all at no additional cost to residents. Please visit our website www.star-c.org to learn more about us.
We are now partnering with landlords to help prevent move outs due to evictions. The Star-C EVICTION RELIEF FUND will pay for up to half of the total monthly rent for qualified Metro Atlanta residents, allowing families to keep their children in their same school environment. To expedite the process, landlords will prescreen and refer tenants to our program. Payments will be made directly to landlords vetted through our program.
COVID-19 is having a dramatic impact on families because of lost jobs, reduced hours, caring for a sick relative or workers required to stay at home with their children due to school closures. Despite the recent freeze on evictions, families will still face mounting debt and expenses. Star-C is raising money to provide rental assistance to those in need, and we are asking you to help!
Please donate or share if you are unable to give at this time. Thank you!
