Star Club Equestrian Program's 2023 Team Star
Donation protected
Star Club Equestrian Program Inc provides equestrian opportunities to people with an Intellectual Disability, Autism, Acquired Brain Injury, Mental Health and Cogntive/Behavioural Impairments, of all ages, beginners to competitive Riders ("Star Clubbers"). We are the only association of our type in NSW who is Not-For-Profit, run completely by Volunteers and has affiliation with both Equestrian NSW and HorseSport Australia.
Being Not-For-Profit means we have to fundraise to provide opportunities to our Star Clubbers as we receive no Government or Industry Body Funding.
One such opportunity we love providing each year is entering our Star Clubbers in the Riding for the Disabled (NSW) Gymkhana Gala and Dressage Championships held at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre - what a venue to be competing at!
In 2023 (our 5th year !) we are offering 9 Star Clubbers (riding 12 Horses) the opportunity to compete in Introductory Dressage, Mounted Games, Dressage Freestyle, Prix Caprili, Dressage Championships, Gymkhana and Rider in Action at the RDA (NSW) Event.
Star Clubbers already have high costs in terms of the management of their disability and day-to-day costs, and Star Club Equestrian Program is fundraising so we can get them all to SIEC with minimal out-of-pocket expenses (some of their expenses are lease horses, stables, horse feed, entry costs for each activity, transport for themselves and their horses, carers and support staff costs, the list goes on ...
We are asking anyone who is able to please make a donation so we can support the 2023 Team Star: Brie, Charlotte, Eliza, Kelly, Keeleigh, Kyle, James, Jodin and Michelle - our biggest Team to date!
No donation is too small or too big, and we greatly apprecaited everyone helping us to allow these Star Clubbers to "Reach for the Stars".
Thank you everyone.
Love from Team Star 2023.
