Star Farm Seed Starter Campaign

Star Farm Chicago is a non profit urban farm and landscaping service established in 2016 in the Back of the Yards community of Chicago, a culturally diverse community. As an urban farm, we grow food and use our farms as platforms for educational and vocational programming, community events, and farm to table events and workshops. We operate across eight different farm sites we’ve built, designed, and activated with free community-based programming. Since 2016 we’ve grown over 100,000 pounds of produce, and distributed more than 1.5 million pounds of local produce, primarily to food security initiatives.

The funding will be matched, dollar per dollar, by the Star Farm Board of Directors, who provide oversight to the organization and fundraise. All funds will be used to improve upon farm infrastructure to ensure Star Farm is ready for our best, most engaging growing season yet.
