Help Star Restart After Losing His Home to the Eaton Fires

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

My dear friend Star has recently suffered a devastating loss. A loss that many Angelenos are currently experiencing in an unprecedented way. The Eaton fires in Altadena destroyed his long-time rental home, leaving him without a place to call home and taking with it much of his beautiful art and legacy. I was just there visiting him a few weeks ago. Admiring his beautiful sculptures and thinking how I’d love to live in Altadena.

For any of us who know Star, we know that he has an ability to roll with the punches and look at the bright side. But we also know the reality that losing one’s home is quite the punch to roll with. Star has given so much to others and it would be wonderful if we could give back to him in a meaningful way.

While he is working to navigate this new reality, he needs our help to rebuild and recover. Funds raised will go directly toward:

• Securing a new place to live.

• Replacing lost essentials (thankfully he has always lived simply but there are still things we need)

• Covering immediate expenses like food, transportation, and other necessities.

Star is a kind, resilient, and generous person who has always given so much to those around him. Now, it’s our turn to give back. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping him get back on his

feet.
