Starbucks Workers United Strike & Support Fund
Donation protected
On January 5th, Elmwood partners at the first unionized Starbucks store decided to walk out because we no longer felt safe at work. We were not given the staffing or resources to do our jobs safely due to health concerns and surging COVID cases. Although we're upset it came to this, everyone deserves to be safe at work.
Many of us are out with COVID or self isolating, showing just how at-risk frontline partners are. Pressure to go to work is being put on many of us, when some of us already have other health issues. The company has again shown that they continue to put profits above people. Everyone deserves the right to feel safe in Starbucks stores—both customers and partners. Elmwood partners will return to work when we feel our store is fully staffed and conditions are safe.
This fund will go a long way in supporting the Elmwood partners who walked out of their store and Genesee St. partners who are out of work due to health & safety concerns. Your donation will help partners buy groceries, keep their lights on and stay safe until their workplace is made safe.
We are incredibly appreciative of your support. We are strong together!
