Stark FDRU Needs YOUR Help!
First I would like to give you Just a little info on Stark FDRU, we are a 501(c)(3) Not-for-Profit volunteer fire company organization consisting of retired and current firefighters, EMT’s and Paramedics from Stark County Ohio. We provide firefighter rehab services on active fire scenes to take care of the firefighters on scene in an effort to reduce firefighter injuries and death on the fire ground by providing EMS assessment, hydration, nourishment, and body core temperature stabilization during strenuous fire suppression activities. We exist to Protect Those Who Protect Others!
We also provide Search and Rescue services and are a part of the county Emergency Response Team for Natural Disasters.
The Mission of the FDRU is to promote health and safety on the fire ground, and provide rehab and reconditioning to our firefighters in a timely and efficient manner, as well as provide medical monitoring of our firefighters well being after being exposed to the exhaustion, the stress, and the elements of fire suppression. The FDRU will provide the ability and resources needed to establish quicker recovery times and create a safer environment to better enhance and extend the performance and safety of our firefighters as well as educate fire personnel on the value of firefighter rehab.
FDRU solely relies on private and corporate donations, fire association donations, fire department donations, personal donations, fund raisers and apparel sales to derive our operating expenses to provide this service to the firefighters in Stark County Ohio and all of the 7 counties that border Stark County. We receive no government assistance as most fire departments do.
The FDRU is looking to add the truck pictured above to our fleet to provide all of the additional services we want to provide for the firefighters and fire departments in our 8 county coverage area.
This truck will give us the ability to carry all of our larger equipment, as well as give us the capabilities to fill scba air bottles on scenes, have additional light towers for scene safety, carry our own water supply for our cooling fans and onboard restroom, provide firefighters with an additional inside air conditioned or heated seating area for rehab, and give us plenty of generator power for all of our equipment.
We need to raise an additional 12k for the purchase of this truck and we are seeking sponsors willing to contribute any amount toward the purchase of this new vehicle. Any corporate or individual sponsor contributing $2500.00 or more to this new unit will have their name and/or company logo prominently displayed on the new unit. We also will get you local media coverage, and promote you on our Facebook pages and web site.
The health and safety of our counties firefighters is very important, and we would be forever grateful if you would be a contributing factor to our mission of health and safety in the fire service.
