Start 2024 with Purpose-Help Brooke Robinson!

My name is Meg Penny and I am asking for your help in supporting Brooke Robinson and her children. Born with Long QT Heart condition, Brooke must live with a Heart Defibrillator implanted in her chest to ensure her well-being. Frighteningly, during the Christmas holiday, her defibrillator alarmed, necessitating a trip to the ER. The finding was that the equipment was malfunctioning. She is scheduled for surgery to replace the faulty instrument in January. This has become the last blow in an on-going financial situation. She and her children are in a crisis. We MUST step in!

Brooke has two precious sons (Creed, age 15 and Dean, age 6,) both of whom were born with challenging medical conditions that require enormous care and attention. These conditions include inheriting the Long QT Heart, auto-immune disorders, and developmental and psychological challenges. The boys' medical needs very often require she miss work. The past six months have been particularly difficult with the boys becoming ill time and again, placing a tremendous strain on her finances. She has been unable to pay the most basic of bills. The new need for Defibrillator Replacement surgery (loss of wages and medical expenses,) has taken the situation from critical to crisis.

The challenges Brooke faces each day trying to maintain a full-time job while managing the tremendous needs of her children humbles me to my core. She has spent her entire professional life committed to caring for others. From working in Early Childhood Development to serving as the Activities Director for a 120-bed skilled nursing facility, her committed to enriching the lives of those under her care has been unwavering. Having had the privilege of working with Brooke for over two years, I can genuinely state that she is a rare and gentle soul: giving with a full heart, committed in her faith to God and, always looking to help others before herself. Working with her, you would have never known the challenges she faced at home. She hid it well...always smiled... an accomplished professional.
