Start A Business (Vegan Food)

Hi my name is Shanta Armour Farley. I am a married mother of 2 small children I have always dreamed of owning my own business. I have worked for most of my life. As an African American woman I grew up watching my mother work hard for my siblings and I to give us the best life. I would dream of someday having a business of my own doing something that I love. I relocated from my hometown of Milwaukee Wisconsin to Eau Claire Wisconsin. I discovered that there wasn’t many options for vegan food, it is very limited, so I saw the opportunity to fill that space. I started baking and cooking my favorite vegan food and sharing it with friends and neighbors both vegan and non vegan lol and they loved it. So I started Everything Vegan. My husband and I started saving money with the hopes of opening a restaurant which would be the only all vegan menu. Covid-19 came and unfortunately we to go into our savings, we were displaced for a few months but with the help of David Carlson of CC We Adapt as well as other people of my community, my family found a wonderful home. I decided to get back to my dreams and started serving meals out of my own kitchen. I made modifications

to my plans of opening a restaurant to bringing

my delicious vegan food to my community via a food truck. When I get the proper funding I plan to use those funds to purchase a food truck. I just need a little help to get there. Thank you in advance.
