Starting life over after near fatal wreck

I'm Lisa, mother to Emily Grigsby. On 09/23/2022 Emilys life changed forever. The cover picture is her car with her trapped in it. She was behind an 18 wheeler in the inside lane of a 4 lane hwy. Her & the 18 wheeler were stopped to turn left. They were waiting on the oncoming traffic to break. While they were waiting a blue dodge pick-up hit her, shoving her into the 18 wheeler. He hit her with such force it made her car spin out into oncoming traffic where it was hit again by another pick-up. Emily was immediately life flighted to Lubbock where she stayed in ICU from 9/23/22 to 10/27/22. She has a brain injury, a spinal cord injury, a stroke, a broken neck, both femurs snapped in two & her left shin shattered. Her life will never be the same. She is currently unable to move much from the chest down but she has definite plans to walk again! Until then we need to be able to adapt her house, get the equipment she'll need & continued therapy. She was flown to a rehab hospital in Houston on 10/27/22. They are teaching her how to love life again. Her wit, sense of humor & problem solving skills are still spot on. Her beautiful smile has not faded. She's passing each goal she sets!
