#1 GOAL ACHIEVED! THANK YOU FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE SUPPORT!

A few weeks ago, we launched our crowdfunding campaign to continue Startup Basecamp's ambitious mission of making Silicon Valley accessible to all. We are blessed and feel grateful for all the support we are receiving from the startup community around the world.

What did we achieve in the last few weeks?

- We reached our first fundraising goal!
- During the initial phase of the campaign, we took the time to connect with our network and engaged in conversations around #impact and our real why behind Startup Basecamp.
- We built the beta version of our Silicon Valley Startup Toolkit and will be starting the testing phase soon.

What's next?

After successfully reaching our initial campaign goal, we have decided to set a new goal of $21,500 to help us extend our runway and achieve the following next steps:
#1: Testing & launching our first 100% online innovation program for founders seeking to have a global #impact.
#2: Developing the next version of the Silicon Valley Toolkit with more resources
#3: Developing our Startup Basecamp's Global Leaders 4 Impact  network  (more below)

How can you help?

If you share our ambition to build something meaningful and impactful at scale, we invite you to join us in this collective movement. You can quickly make the difference by helping with:

1- Investor Introductions: To scale our effort, we are seeking for private or corporate investors looking to impact millions of founders. For more info, please contact me [email redacted]

2- Become a leader as part of Startup Basecamp's Global Leader 4 Impact network: By joining our community of leaders around the world, you can directly impact your local ecosystem by getting special access to our upcoming programs, events, resources, and startup and corporate network. Fill the form here , we will be in touch soon!

3- Continue contributing and sharing our crowdfunding campaign: Grow our community of supporters on Gofundme! Each donation and share counts!

More than ever, we believe the world needs ambitious doers to solve the problems of today and create the jobs of tomorrow.  Thanks to you, we will continue to support them.

With Love,
Guillaume and Maria

Dear friends, guests, and partners of the startup community,

In this difficult time, we hope you and your loved ones are safe and you are able to stay strong despite the unprecedented challenges we all face.

STARTUP BASECAMP NEEDS YOUR HELP OR WE WON'T BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO HELP ENTREPRENEURS WHO SEEK TO IMPACT THE WORLD IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

Over the past 7 years, we have supported 3178+ founders from 85+ countries to land in Silicon Valley with success. It has been a challenging yet rewarding journey, and we feel grateful for it all.  Meeting so many ambitious doers and forging so many impactful partnerships has been the most fulfilling human and professional experience so far.

The global pandemic has hit our Startup Basecamp's business very hard - the sudden stop of international travel has completely cleared our booking calendar of both guests in our coliving hotels and innovation programs for the coming months. Leaving us with two months of runway, a team of 5 and a 3 months old baby in the house.

It is the most difficult time we have experienced over the past years, and while we are doing our best to re-invent ourselves staying true to our mission of supporting the startup community, we cannot do it alone and need your help to support us.

We are asking for your help to donate what you can, to help us get back on our feet, support our team, and continue our ambitious mission of making Silicon Valley accessible to all entrepreneurs in 5 high potential impact industries- Fintech, GreenTech, HealthTech, EduTech & FoodTech. Only this time, Silicon Valley will come to you.  An ambitious pivot to remove all barriers helping entrepreneurs around the world at scale.

More than ever, we believe the world needs ambitious doers to solve the problems of today and create the jobs of tomorrow.  Thanks to you, we will continue to support them.

OUR STORY

How it all started:

Landing in Silicon Valley full of hopes and entrepreneurial dreams in 2013, Guillaume discovered the hardships of settling in this new ecosystem and navigating through all its complexities. After months of staying in low-quality hacker houses, airbnbs and hostels, he realized he had spent more time trying to survive than actually getting work done. And so he set off to facilitate this challenge for other entrepreneurs like himself. This was the core motivation behind creating Startup Basecamp, which set off to be much more than a place to live and a place to work with like-minded startup professionals, but really the gateway to the Silicon Valley ecosystem.

From an Apt. to the First Startup Hotel

It all began in a beautiful 5 bedroom apartment in Alamo Square in 2013. We moved to a two-floor loft in the heart of SOMA in 2014, and to a 6 bedroom loft on Polk Street in 2015. In 2016 we opened the first Startup Hotel close to Hayes Valley, offering a wider number & range of rooms as well as an indoor & outdoor work and event space. In 2018 we partnered with two other hotels in the city, providing a larger offering to our clients.

We’ve seen guests collaborate, share experiences and have fun, during highs & lows of their journeys. It’s been incredible to see strong bonds develop: from guests co-founding companies to falling in love with each other (& getting married)!

Our Educational Efforts & Mission

With the mission of bridging international tech hubs and Silicon Valley, our Innovation Lab has organized hundreds of events on entrepreneurship and innovation.  We believe that the unique innovation mindset of the Silicon Valley ecosystem can empower entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs to build innovative solutions that change the world.  However, access to the Silicon Valley ecosystem is not equally distributed and can be difficult for any foreign startup, corporate & investor to access.

We focus on industries that change the world and have supported entrepreneurs who are using technology to solve issues in industries with a high potential impact as Fintech, Greentech, HealthTech, EduTech & FoodTech.

Our innovation programs have helped countless startups, corporates and investors access the innovative mindset, cutting-edge technologies and capital through unique week-long immersive experiences with experts and local thought leaders.

More than ever, our mission is to facilitate founders to take the best from Silicon Valley helping them to develop innovative solutions and services that will solve the problem of today and create the jobs of tomorrow.
