Our dance family is so deeply sorry for the loss of our beloved, shining light - Minis Company member Laiyah Polk, daughter of Lorenzo and Simone Polk. Her light, sweet energy and infectious smile touched so many lives and so many hearts, not only in Starz Dance Company, but of all who had the privilege to know her in and outside of dance! Laiyah's memory & light will continue to shine as our entire Starz Dance Company season will be dedicated to dancing in her honor!
No parent should ever have to experience the pain of losing a child or a young child of losing a sibling or close friend. Our hearts ache for the Polk family, and we aim to provide them with the strength, love and support they need at this extremely difficult time. We are ALL here to help in any way we can!
All donations will help offset the costs of hospital expenses and memorial arrangements! Every penny raised (minus service fees imposed by GoFundMe) will go directly to the Polk Family beneficiaries, Laiyah's parents Symone Hewwing and Lorenzo Polk.
