Statesville D.I.Y. Skatepark

Donation protected
Hello!
For the last 15 years skateboarding has been illegal in Statesville N.C.
There have been 2 skateboard related deaths since the skateboard ban, in both Instances the victims were hit by a vehicle and killed.
With no skatepark and strict laws it has been tough for our skateboard community.
Countless arrest, and consistent harassment from local PD for the last 15 years skateboarders have been criminalized in Statesville.
We are “Live To Skate Non Profit” working to make a difference for the next generation of kids in our community.
Thanks to Statesville Housing Authority (SHA) we are blessed to have a space to build our own skatepark! Located at 720 S Mulbery st Statesville NC.
SHA purchased an entire pre-fabricated skatepark, our skatepark will be a combination of a pre-fabricated ramps mixed with custom DIY concrete ramps.
We are raising money to cover insurance, repairs, and add ons that this project needs.
This is a free, open to the public skatepark with lights and sound system provided by SHA.
Thanks for you consideration - L.T.S.

park officially opened June 8th 2024
