Statue of Michael Collins in his home city, Cork.
Donation protected
The Michael Collins 100 Committee was established in the spring of 2022, the centenary year of the death of Collins. The Committee aims to commission and fund a statue of Michael Collins to commemorate the centenary of his death and in recognition of his contribution to the struggle for Irish independence and the establishment of an independent, democratic Irish State.
The ethos of the Michael Collins 100 Committee is historical and strictly non-political, and it is now running a fundraising campaign to pay for the design and casting of the statue and base. The Michael Collins 100 Committee is providing a unique opportunity for admirers of Michael Collins in Ireland and worldwide to be part of a worthy and fitting tribute to him in Cork City.
