Statue/Refurbished Area for Turpin High School

My name is Drake Scallon, I am a Life Scout from Scouts BSA Troop 112, based out of Mt. Washington Presbyterian Church in Cincinnati Ohio. I have been involved in Scouting for almost 10 years, having started as a Bear Scout in Cub Scouts. I graduated Cub Scouts and earned my Arrow of Light award. I crossed over into Boy Scouts and have earned all 6 ranks leading up to earning my Eagle Scout Rank. My final hurdle, to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, is my Eagle Scout Project.

I have planned to remove and refurbish a part of the front of Turpin High School that has been overgrown with moss, evergreen bushes, and unsightly tall grass. I will be removing everything that is currently there and regrading the area.   After that, I will lay boulders in a circle  and pour the middle completely solid with concrete. Once the concrete has set, I will supply and install a larger than life-size Spartan warrior statue including spear and shield that is 95" tall and 123" long.  I will finish off the installation by planting shrubbery, spreading mulch in the remaining areas and installing a plaque dedicating the statue to the students of Spartan Nation (past, present and future), as well as, thanking all who donated to make it possible.

I am excited at the opportunity to erect a tribute to Turpin High School Spartans, that for generations will stand as a symbol to the strength of the Spartan Nation.  A symbol that will embody the comradery and unity of all the students that walk the hallways of Turpin....now and in the future.  

 I am hoping to have this project completely done by March 15th, 2020. Any support you can give this endeavor would be greatly appreciated.
