Portland has led the nation with 90+ days of protest in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
Last night, a caravan including hundreds of armed rightwing extremists invaded our City. One person was shot and killed.
Tensions are high, and some there are some looking to escalate this situation.
Protests in Portland can and should continue. But for the next 3 nights, we are pleading for your help in ensuring the immediate safety of our Portland neighbors.
We need you home.
Safe, and alive.
As long as we have funding available, we will buy dinner for any Portlander who is staying home and safe until Wednesday.
We will also provide support to any medics who have been serving Black Lives Matter protests over the past week, by providing funds for counseling and self care.
