Stella and Norah

Our precious, beautiful, fearless Kaitlyn Elizabeth (Corder) Wigley lost her battle with depression, suddenly and unexpectedly on February 8th. As her family, we had some insight into her fight and we were doing all we could to love, support and assist her through this battle. We have also learned that it is difficult to understand how difficult mental health struggles can be; and it is sometimes impossible to prevent the damage that mental illness can cause. Kaitlyn’s passing has been, and will be, a shock to her family for quite some time. Our lives and our hearts are shattered; like a thousand, scattered pieces of a jigsaw puzzle.
We will need the support of our family, friends and community to begin to put things back together again; one piece at a time. We will need your support to create a new picture for her daughers, one filled with hope and with happiness. Lee and Katilyn’s beautiful young girls; Stella Ann (5) and Norah Elizabeth (3) have a long road ahead of them to overcome what is sure to be difficult emotions, obstacles, and questions. It is only with our support that we can care for the girls own mental healthcare as they grow and experience life’s hurdles, challenges, opportunities, and changes without their mother by their side.
As the dust settles on the tragedy that has occurred, the girls will need us more than ever. They will need guidance through this unexpected loss once the natural protection of shock wears off. As always, life moves on and many of us who loved Kaitlyn will return to some normalcy. This will not be the case for the Wigleys. They will have to find a new normalcy, and in the coming months or even years they will need our waves of support, our assistance, and our reminders of love. Whether it is our time, our talent, or our treasures we can offer; we will need to offer it consistently. Please put the Wigleys on your calendars and remember to reach out as life moves on.
When we think about our Kaitlyn, we will remember her strong faith, her kindness, and her caring heart. She was a devoted wife and a beautiful daughter, sister, and friend. She was a caring mother to her daughters who she loved ever so much. Kaitlyn was the owner of Addie Grace & Company; a venture she was very proud of and to which she devoted much time and effort creating a successful home-based business. Kaitlyn was a gifted artist. She loved to sketch, paint, and to bless her family and friends with her precious works of art. Her love of animals knew no bounds as evidenced by her many furry friends, including her beloved rabbits and cats, that she cared for over the years.
We knew Kaitlyn as a positive, vibrant, energetic, fun and lively spirit. Her presence seemed to shine wherever she went, her light was infectious, and she could consistently brighten people’s day. She was a wonderful listener and she always sought to help others reach the next level of assurance and joy. Now we must do the same for her children.
We have created this fund to provide some financial assistance for the future support of Kaitlyn’s daughters; Stella and Norah. All funds raised will be used to directly support whatever the girls need in the coming months and years ahead. Thank you in advance for all who contribute. Let us all remember the light Kaitlyn brought to others, so that we may continue to be that light for her girls.
