Stella Maris Ministries

We are a newly formed 501(c) nonprofit organization in need of your help!

Our mission is to serve children with complex medical needs specifically catering to those in hospice care to improve their quality of life and provide a memorable experience for them and their families.  Our ministry will consist of taking the child and their families for a day of sailing and exploring.

We have collaborated with Veterans on Deck who is allowing us to use their sailboat along with their crew for our first adventures.  Our goal eventually is to have a sailboat of our very own with our own captain and crew. 

Until then we are in need of help with some start up business costs.  Our biggest expense is to purchase insurance for our voyages along with a few smaller business expenses before we can start.  This brings us to our $2000 goal.

We are based out of Charleston, SC and are partnering with the MUSC Pediatric Palliative Care Team to find families for our crew.

Our goal is to raise the money by July 1st.  We already have 2 voyages set up with 2 different children and their families and if our goal is met we can make these beautiful experiences happen for them.  Our first voyage is planned for August 5th so please help us make this happen.  

Our "First Mates" for our trips are Jaice and Mark.  

Jaice is a 2 year of boy who was born with a heart defect that resulted in heart failure.  He was on an external device that acted as his heart for 9 months until he received his heart transplant last summer.

Mark is a 10 year old boy who was born with a neurological deficit that results in bowel and bladder dysfunction.
