Valkyrie Quinn’s Road to Recovery

Hi everyone,
In July 2020, at 22mo, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, Valkyrie Quinn had a horrible accident where she fell into a dam with gumboots and a handbag. She went without oxygen to the brain for 16 mins or in other words she was deceased for that time despite our CPR efforts. We managed to resuscitate Valkyrie but 16 mins is an extreme amount of time to be without oxygen. As a result Valkyrie now suffers a high level of cerebral palsy (brain injury)
Now almost 4yo and completely non-verbal she is making small achievements daily with the most beautiful smile on her face!
We are trying many treatments and therapies and will never ever give up on her progress because she is an absolute warrior and fighting hard for her independence!
However as she requires both parents to be full time carers now, we will never ever be able to afford Stem Cell Therapy; the perfect medical therapy for her condition/injury which is only available outside of Australia and is incredibly costly but worth every cent. We are also fundraising for smaller things for Valkyrie such as outdoor therapy equipment and alterations to the yard, vitamins and supplements that are proven to be beneficial to a recovering brain, beneficial therapies that are not yet NDIS approved but are well studied in other nations such as Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy and Red light therapy.
Please, if you’re able to help we beg your help to give her brain a much more realistic chance of healing and an independent life! We will never reach our target goal because even if we do we will always take things a step further look for the next therapy she will benefit from.
We love our baby girl and we miss her voice more than anything in this world ♥️
